THE CLIENT:
Bundobust
THE BRIEF:
Bundobust’s social and creative output was in a bit of a slump due to their marketing department being in a transitional period. Their social output lacked strategy, their distinctive tone of voice, and the sense of irreverence that Bundobust’s had built its audience on, and reach and engagement had dropped off as it wasn’t translating the unique experience that Bundobust offers.
Our brief from the founders was simple: “Make Bundobust Fundobust again”
THE DELIVERABLES:
Working with Bundobust’s internal marketing team, as well as graphic design studio Everyday Something and photography Mark Newton, we’ve helped deliver brand new specials campaigns like 2024s Euros and Indo-Mexican updated and refreshed old favourites like Indo-Chinese and Oktoberfest, through research, trend reporting, and Creative Direction -and built activations to help them all resonate with new and current audiences.
Our social strategies and content formats encourage engagement and sharing, and build community and relevance through relatable, topical content - all while centering the brand and products.
We take photos, make memes, record videos, and write the copy that brings these strategies to life, and then implement them with Social Media platform management.
We collaborated with social media and TV personality Poppy Cooks to feature Bundo’s signature Vada Pav on her A-Z of Potatoes series, putting the brand in front of her 5m+ followers (the only branded or proprietary product to feature in the series)
We initiated a menu engineering and design project, resulting in a new format which represents the customer journey, immerses newbies in key brand touchpoints and helps repeat customers explore and discover new favourites.
We’ve created Tone of Voice guidelines, and written & edited copy for everything from menus, websites, cook books, press releases to national newspaper features, fortune cookies! and even one official UK government statement.
We’ve designed merch, invented a board game, turned scary lawyers letters into headline-grabbing charitable campaigns, pulled pints, and played to packed-out tents at beer festivals.
🌶️ Indo-Mexican campaign was Bundobust’s most successful specials campaign to date
🔥 By Q3 2034 we had grown social reach by 100% year on year to 2 million accounts reached.
📺 Bundobust’s continued relevance earned the brand a significant feature on BBC’s Rick Stein’s Food Stories, which we were able to capitalise on by spotting opportunities for reactive content which reached an audience of millions.
🏆 Continued innovation on new campaigns won Bundobust the “Best Innovation” Award at the national Casual Dining Awards in 2024.
